Mainz, 6 June 2023 – Aareon, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for the European property industry, has signed the Diversity Charter in Germany “Charta der Vielfalt”. This underlines the company's commitment to a tolerant, inclusive and diverse working environment. The focus is on appreciating all employees regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and world view, sexual orientation and social origin.

Dr Ernesto Marinelli, Member of the Management Board at Aareon responsible for People & Culture, expressly emphasises: "The further development of diversity, equity and inclusion is of great importance to us and is firmly anchored in our corporate strategy. This is why we created the position of Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer this year."

"We appreciate the unique perspectives of each employee and want everyone to have fair opportunities. That is our aspiration," adds Sandra Hendro, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at Aareon. "We also benefit from this as a company, because as a result we can further increase our innovative strength and customer focus together.

"Measures that Aareon is already implementing include an awareness campaign, reviewing processes for hiring and promotions, and training for managers and employees.

The Diversity Charter “Charta der Vielfalt” is an initiative to promote diversity in companies and institutions under the patronage of Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Around 4,900 corporations, companies, public institutions, associations, foundations and federations have already signed the Diversity Charter.
