J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH and MAG Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft mbH are developing another future-oriented office building in the Kisselberg Innovation Park: the new Aareon headquarters - a sustainable building for an inspiring work experience. The cornersone ceremony took place on 12 September.

Mainz, 12 September 2023 – Aareon, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for the European property industry, and the builders J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH and MAG Mainzer Aufbaugesellschaft mbH celebrated the official cornerstone ceremony for the new Aareon headquarters on 12 September, together with the Lord Mayor of Mainz, Nino Haase. The sustainable and forward-looking office building is being constructed in the Kisselberg Innovation Park at the entrance to Mainz.

Harry Thomsen, Aareon's CEO, explains: "The new requirements in a hybrid working world, as well as our social and ecological responsibility, have prompted us to make this spatial change. With the new headquarters, we want to create an working environment that inspires and invites exchange and collaboration. We are happy to realise this project in Mainz, where we feel very comfortable." Aareon has been based in Mainz for several decades - since 2009 at the Kisselberg in Mainz. The location currently has around 500 employees. The new four-storey building will offer around 5,700 square metres of GIF and is being built in the immediate vicinity. "We are creating a visionary working environment here with high ecological standards, high-quality design and quite a few feel-good factors," explains project developer Tina Badrot, Managing Director of J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH.

"We are very pleased to be working with our project partner, J. Molitor Immobilien GmbH, to implement this forward-looking construction project for the software company Aareon with an innovative project development," adds MAG Managing Director Ralf Sadowski, "especially due to the proximity to the university and the new biotech and life science campus, the Kisselberg Innovation Park is becoming even more attractive."

In his welcoming speech, Lord Mayor Haase said, "You have already been at home in Mainz for over 60 years and I can guarantee you: This location here, indeed our city of Mainz, has never been as attractive as it is now and will be in the years to come. I congratulate you on a top location in an exciting innovation quarter with renowned companies and institutions, a place full of synergy opportunities between science and business."

The new building, designed by the mann + schneberger office from Mainz, will be built using environmentally friendly timber construction and will have large-scale photovoltaic systems on the outer walls. Heating and cooling will be provided entirely by geothermal energy in combination with concrete core activation, which ensures a particularly pleasant indoor climate. The flat roof of the building is planted with grasses and perennials and thus, in combination with the greened outdoor areas, becomes a habitat for insects and birds. At the same time, the retention roof will contribute to relieving the burden on the municipal sewage system. A special highlight will be the landscaped outdoor area with an approximately 220 square metre pond. The pond will invite Aareon employees and the building's guests to take a relaxing break and work in the fresh air, while at the same time offering a particularly beautiful view of the outside from the conference rooms and the company restaurant. The underground car park, which is equipped for e-mobility and has 71 parking spaces, and the six outdoor parking spaces round off the sustainable building concept of the new Aareon headquarters.
